Jet’s ‘Shine On’ was released in 2006, it had a tough task ahead of it, replicate or better the success of ‘Get Born’.

‘Shine On’ peaked at No. 3 in Australia and sold 70,000 copies but it had sold 590,000 less copies than ‘Get Born’ which is considered to be a disaster though sales were undoubtedly hampered by the fact that it was leaked on the iTunes store and torrent sites two weeks before it was out in stores.

Consequence voted it No. 4 on ‘Most Disappointing Sophomore Albums’.

Songs on the album that are considered to be the most enjoyable are ‘Holiday’, ‘Shine On’, ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’, ‘Bring It on Back’ and ‘All You Have to Do’.

If I have to pick one song from the album, it would be ‘Shine On’ and if there is a backup option, it would be ‘All You Have to Do’.

This was a solid album; it is easy to play through the entire album and not skip any of the fifteen songs, the band and the album just had the misfortune of being released after ‘Get Born’.
