Bon Jovi’s YouTube channel as of April 4, 2025, has 8,335,360,941 views, that’s 8.3 billion views for those who like the number shortened.
In Australia, every studio album from Slippery When Wet in 1986 to Crush in 2000 was a No. 1 album, that is five consecutive albums for a 2025 total of eight No. 1 studio albums plus two No. 1 compilation albums.
Here’s the amazing part, no Bon Jovi song has hit No. 1 in Australia, ‘Always’ got to No. 2 which makes one think people like more Bon Jovi than what a single could provide.
There’s plenty of Bon Jovi songs to like but nobody is going to read a length list so I cut it down to six songs and may add more later on.
Livin’ On A Prayer
‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ is a song that has been everywhere from High School formals (proms) to McDonalds ads, the latter making people dislike the song in a hurry by about the third hour of five or so plays that hour of people trying to sing it.
Between 1986 and 1989, this song was one of three to hit No. 1 on the charts in the United States while in Australia the song peaked at No. 3.
What is so good about the song? It is a song that people can relate to, it is also a song that people can’t help but sing the chorus of it, loudly.
It’s My Life
Believe it or not, ‘It’s My Life’ has more views than any Bon Jovi song on their YouTube channel with 1.4 billion views.
Again, it is a song that everybody can enjoy singing along to, the music video is pretty cool as it shows the early days of webcasts, ah the days of big monitors instead of the wide and thin ones we’ve got today.
It got to No. 33 in the United States while in Australia it was more loved, it peaked at No. 5.
Always
The third and last of the billion viewed videos, ‘Always’ was on the No. 1 compilation album in Australia ‘Cross Road’ and was in the Top 5 in at least ten countries, No. 1 in three of them.
This ballad requires a lot from Bon Jovi, and it has only been occasionally sung since the mid 90s with some exceptions such as acoustic performances of the song.
For a ballad lover, this song does have its place among favourites and remember do not destroy other people’s property, no matter how mad you can be at the owner.
Keep The Faith
This song is majorly underplayed on YouTube, it only has 38 million views over its 15 years online, a big gap between it and ‘It’s My Life’.
I love the drums on this song, can follow it all the way through the song and I love how the video switches regularly from Black & White to Colour.
Everybody needs somebody to love, those words are absolutely true.
Bed of Roses
Having a hangover is apparently good for songwriting and so we got ‘Bed of Roses’ from it.
This one is a power ballad and features the band in different locations, including mountains which is not everybody’s cup of tea as Jon Bon Jovi got to his filming safely on the ground.
Australia and the United States agreed on the quality of this song; it peaked at No. 10 in both countries.
What’s to like about this song? The lyrics, the way it is sung and the guitar solo.
Have A Nice Day
‘Have A Nice Day’ didn’t do so good in America, peaking at No. 53 but it done better in Australia with a peak of No. 8.
What’s to like about this song, well it is a song that is true to the Bon Jovi formula of success, its upbeat, it is about tolerance and defiance.
The smiley face gets plenty of attention, while it looks polite, there is anger there, something that has captured attention for the last twenty years.
